How to fix NoxPlayer errors for Ragnarok M Eternal Love (Updated)

So two weeks ago I wrote a guide on how to play Ragnarok M Eternal Love on emulators. Since then many people have been coming across problems with the emulators. Here’s how to fix NoxPlayer errors and a list of errors players have encountered. I will keep this post updated with any NoxPlayer inquiries so remember to bookmark it!

Disclaimer: Some of the solutions requires tinkering and tweaking with PC files. If you’re not confident / not sure what you’re doing or cannot read and follow instruction properly – you might end up messing up your files. We’re not to be held responsible for any technical error your PC might encounter nor will we help you fix it. This is meant for users with advanced knowledge on how to use a PC.

Cannot access the needed resource

When this error occurs, it’s usually due to the emulator not being able to update the game automatically. Here’s how you can fix it:

  1. Uninstall Ragnarok M from your emulator.
  2. Sign in to the Google Play Store and download the game from there.

This should fetch you the current, updated version of the game. If you still want to use APK to install, make sure you find the latest file for the game.

OPEN GL error

Update your graphics card(s)! Refer to solution four (scroll down). If that doesn’t work, try downloading OpenGL here. Alternatively, try another emulator before you do the OpenGL download. It’s safer and requires less tampering with the insides of your computer.

Decompression failed error

This error occurs due to the lack of storage space left on your PC’s drives. There are two ways to fix this:

  1. Clean out your drives by uninstalling some unused programs.
  2. Pick another drive (if you have) with available space. For example, if you’re trying to install the game on C: drive, try picking the D:/E: drive instead if they have more space.

Emulator stuck at 99%

The following steps will require a basic understanding of how to operate a PC. If you don’t know how to do things like turning off your Firewall – reconsider going through with the guide. You might mess up your PC if you make a mistake and not know what you’re doing. Proceed at your own risk!

Solution One

Simply turn off your Firewall and try running NoxPlayer. You can do this via your PC’s Control Panel. This is a simple thing so I won’t go into details. If you actually don’t know how to do this, Google it. These are the ones you need to turn off:

  • Windows Defender Firewall
  • Domain Network (if applicable)
  • Private Network
  • Public Network

If you’re still facing problem after you do this, move on to Solution Two.

Solution Two

This solution requires fiddling with Nox Multi-Drive. This application comes together with the default installation and you should find it in your directory or desktop.

  • Double-click on Multi-Drive to launch it.
  • Click on the setting button, highlighted in red in the picture below.

  • On the setting window, click Performance Setting and choose Custom.
  • If you’re not sure about CPU core and memory just leave it at default numbers.
  • Under Graphics rendering mode, select Speed (DirectX)

  • Save settings.
  • Close the Multi-Drive and try running NoxPlayer.

Solution Three

If you’re still facing problem launching the emulator, here’s the third method.

  • Right-click on NoxPlayer shortcut on your desktop.
  • Select Properties > Compatibility.

  • Check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for:
  • The default is Windows 8, you can leave it as it is.
  • Click on Apply.

Solution Four

The last method, if all else fails, is to update your drivers.

  • Right-click on This PC (My Computer on older OS) and select Manage.
  • In the new window, click on Device Manager, wait for it to load.
  • Once the list loads, click on the arrow next to Display adapters.
  • This will reveal your graphics card(s).

  • Right-click on the graphics card and select Update driver.
  • Pick Search automatically for updated driver software.
  • Wait for the update to finish then try launching NoxPlayer.

  1. tried everything but still can’t get to play RoM on NOX player. Still stuck on error saying: “current version is 369”.

  2. I have a error with every emulator, it plays the game, but sometimes it gives a lag and disconnect and reconnect to game without leaving the screen.

    1. Can you show me your DxDiag? From there I could suggest the best settings for your emulator and potentially make your game run smoother. Go to your Start menu, type in dxdiag and press enter. At the bottom of the window, select Save all information. The output is a Notepad document. Do join our Discord ( and send it to me via the #help-desk channel.

  3. I found the problem on my end. When i use compatible (OpenGL) for graphiscs, RoM doesn’t open. When I switched to Speed (DirectX) Nox is stuck at 99%. not sure what to do.

P.S. I’m using windows 7 on my laptop and using Nox

    1. Oh and i also tried MuMu but it stops at 99% and always shows MuMu is taking too long to open. I also tried waiting for 2~3 hrs nothing happened

  4. When running two Nox, after an hour or two I get BSOD even after removing all the special effects on both.

    PC specs:
    i5 6600
    GTX 1060 6GB
    12gb RAM
    H110M-H mobo

I think 12gb RAM is more than enough. Any fix for this?

  5. In my case the game plays perfectly but when the display turns off all my characters disconnects and reconnects again when I use the laptop.

    1. This is a known problem for NoxPlayer on laptop , it’s on their support page , they don’t seem to have a fix for it yet :/

  6. hai thank you for all your replies and effort. btw i also encountered a problem that stating “cannot access the needed resource. the Current version is 441” (im guessing this is the most update version currently). meanwhile, my current version of the game (in the lower right of the window) is in ver 308. it seemed that the emulator failed to update the apk version of the game. and also ive double checked that i dont have problem regarding connectivity to the internet. browsing and streaming seemed fine on my browsers. im using chrome btw

is there any solution for this?

    thanks in advance

    1. Hi Waldo! No problem , glad to help out fellow players 😀 Regarding the version issue , have you tried uninstalling the old game then updating via installing the new APK files? It seems like the emulator don’t recognize update if you install via APK . What I did for my own emulator was just to download the game via the Play Store instead . Let me know if these works for you .

  7. any had issues with the map where it shows black except for the green and red dots for monsters and npc icons? Please share your fix thanks

    1. I think this is a game technical problem that you gotta ask for help from the game’s support itself . I can’t troubleshoot this for you xD

  8. Hi there i just recently installed nox and it’s working fine with other applications.. but when i open ragnarok mobile it does nothing… when i click on the opened apps button it’s in the background but it doesnt proceed to start or whatnot… need some advice. Thanks!!!

  9. Hi I am using 5 multiple instances with version 6.2.6 and after I updated to version 6.2.7 I got constant disconnection on while afk grinding my char and it is constants and so annoying. How to fix this? I am about to quit rom due to this annoying dc.

  10. Hi, I am playing ragnarok (happen in multiintances feature and solo) and after 1 or 2 hours I can’t write anything in game chat.. sometimes I need to click in the chat a lot of times open and close the chat and sometimes back to work, other times no. If I restart the game it works again. I think it is a cache problem (more game play more difficult to write). I tried everything, include I used the cleaning cache option, changing keybord config (in the Nox and in my notebook). nothing works…
    My notbook is a I5 8300, 8 GB RAM – 64bits Geforce 1050

    1. I’ve experienced the same thing but what i’ve noticed is even if the keyboard don’t appear or the text indicator don’t come up , you can still type in the box . You can’t backspace though . But also this might be an issue with the game not supporting emulator which, is the case for most mobile games .
