Tencent, the world’s largest gaming company, is teaming up with Vivo and Yoodoo to bring us the first ever PUBG Mobile tournament in Malaysia! The PUBG Mobile Malaysia National Championship (PMNC) 2018 will begin on December 22, 2018, with the Johor Qualifier. Set to last for a whole month, the grand final will take place on January 26 with four teams facing off in Kuala Lumpur.
First PUBG M tournament in Malaysia
In collaboration with Vivo and Yoodo, PMNC 2018 offers a grand total prize pool of MYR60,000. This includes 16 units of V11i phones by Vivo and 1-year free mobile plan b Yoodo. Be the best PUBG Mobile team in the tournament to walk away with these great prizes with your team! PMNC 2018 features a total of four state qualifiers: Johor, Sabah, Sarawak, and Kuala Lumpur. The top four teams will then face on in the grand finals. Here are the dates for qualifiers:
Johor Qualifier – December 22, 2018, @ Aeon Tebrau City
Sabah Qualifier – December 25, 2018, @ Komplesk Karamunsing
Sarawak Qualifier – January 6, 2019, @ Emart Batu Kawa
Kuala Lumpur Qualifier – January 12, 2019, @ Sunway Velocity Level 3
Grand Finals – January 26, 2019, @ Vanity Atrium, Sunway Velocity (16 teams)
With this competition, the organizers wish to further boost up the local competitive scene and community. Tencent Game’s SEA director also added that they seek to bring Malaysia’s name up to a higher level alongside the global esports scene.
