What is Tomb Raider without tombs right? Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal did very well in designing the tombs in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. One of the earliest tombs that you may encounter is the Underworld Gate in the Peruvian Jungle. Completing this tomb rewards you the Eagle’s Perch skill. Here is the Underworld Gate guide for Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Finding the Underworld Gate
Early on in the game, you and Jonah have to solve a rope bridge puzzle, once you complete that, you will be able to find the Underworld Gate which is nearby the camp.
Make your way through by crawling under some branches then jumping on some trees. You will reach a campsite before making your way to the puzzle portion of the tomb.
Once you reach an area with a broken bridge, this is where the fun part begins. You will need to solve a simple puzzle here. First, rotate the device so that it faces a roped pole.
Build a rope bridge between the device and the roped pole, then just make your way to the other side. There you will see a lever to interact with. This lever will bring over a huge crate for you to ride on.
Jump on the crate to head back to the previous area. Now adjust the device so that the device’s roped section faces the crate’s roped section. Fire a rope arrow to tie the crate and the device together.
Head on back to the area with the lever. Alright, time to act quick as once you pull the lever again – you will need to run to the crate because the crate is going to take you to the next area. That’s it, that is the end of the puzzle portion. All you need to do now jump and climb to reach your goal.
There it is the Underworld Gate guide. Go venture forth and continue your adventure in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
